FOR ADULT STUDENTS (minimum age 15)
Iron Circle Aiki-ju-jitsu is a practical, streamlined, stand-up system of self-defense. (“Ju” = Japanese for “soft” or “gentle”; “jitsu” = “method”) Students learn joint manipulation, takedowns, locks, and judo throws; as well as hand strikes, elbows, and reality-based kicks. Although ground escape techniques are taught in this system, aiki-ju-jitsu is a “stand-up” system of self-defense. This is not Brazilian jiu jitsu or ground fighting.
